you answered your question, if he said so then he will do it just wait, if he didnt it means that he was not serious and just playing around...just wait for sometime till he takes action, if he doesnt give him up and continue but he must make the move because he told you so, just be cool and he will take the move but most ppl take time trying to renew a relationship with a new person
