ok i my desktop beeps now and i know it tells you something is worng with it using code (very Smart) and i get 3 long beeps and thats means that i need a new 3270 keyboard card what on gods green earth is that?
are they cheap???

If you are sure that is the error code for a keyboard problem on your motherboard, check the keyboard connection first. I assume you are using a PS2 connector rather than a USB connector for your keyboard.
If the connection is OK, your keyboard may be at fault. Swap it out with a different keyboard and see if that works.
If it still won't work the PS2 port is probably bad. You can blow those ports out if you unplug or reconnect a keyboard while the computer is running. If that is the case, swap your keyboard for one with a USB connector and you should be able to use your computer. (You can also get adapters that change the connection from PS2 to USB on your old keyboard if it is in working condition.)
