Anther am I pregnant question?

Ok well I have all the early symptons of pregnancy but I've taken two HPT the first I took a few days before my missed period and I too another one this morning 5 days after my missed period...my husband and I had sex during my ovulation time so there is a possiablity.... so my question is does any one think im prego.....should I take another HPT or should I got to my gyno and have a blood test? (my gyno is kinda an *** the last time I thought i was prego he refused to give me a blood test just so you know) I might also throw in that I was sick about a week ago with the flu could that have anything to do with any of this (Im better now)

Anther am I pregnant question?
dont wait til you get a positive before you go because you may not get one for a while if you are pregnant. just go to a new OBGYN and tell them what is going on. or go to the hospital and let them know what is going on and request a blood test i know the hospitals where i live will give you one but you have to be late in order to get one done here. and dont wait for another month because the first three months are the most important it is when the brain develops and alot of other important things happen in the first three months so if you get a negative blood test then wait a week and try another hpt if that still comes out negative then wait just a bit longer and go back and talk to your OBGYN and let them know how late you are they may order another blood test. when i was pregnant with my son all the hpt that i took at first came back negative then i got one really really faint line i thought i was seeing things but i still called my OBGYN and told them how late i was and they finally took me in and they did a blood test and also decided to do an ultra sound and the ultra sound showed that i was a little over 9 weeks pregnant and the blood test confirmed it it just took my body some time to build up the HCG. good luck i wish you the best of luck and sending a bunch of baby dust your way keep us updated as to what is going on.
Reply:go to another doctor
Reply:your being sick could have delayed your period. Id get a blood test, but you need to find another gyno. He seems like an a$$.
Reply:I would wait about a week and take another hpt. Wait for a possitive on that before going to the gyno!!!!
Reply:I WOULD GO TO THE DOCTOR AND BE CHECKED OR WAIT FOR ANOTHER MONTH AND TAKE ANOTHER PREGNACY TEST HOPE THIS HELPS
Reply:personally I would have change doc

I always go to family doc never GYN they are too cold

your feeling and need come first

if you preg change doc anyway

Good luck

my symtoms were

sore nipples (before it was itchy , breast very hot after sore)

tired, could not get enough sleep

moody, and I know early but craving fois gras %26amp; goat cheese

You see every woman is different
Reply:Go to the doctor....there the only ones how can tell you for sure....
Reply:Maybe you are preg... I think you should go to your gyno. If you are not preg... he could explain to you why you missed your period.
Reply:we can't tell if you're pregnant, if your gyno is not helpful and doesn't treat you with respect, get a new one. Good luck
Reply:Being sick can delay your period, and negative HPT's would support that, but it's also still possible that you're pregnant and it implanted late so the tests aren't coming up positive yet. This is especially likely if you have a short luteal phase (after you ovulate until your next period starts) because you'd expect your period sooner than an HPT would tell you anything.

Make sure to use a sensitive test (one that will detect 25 units or fewer, like First Response Early Result) and to test first thing in the morning when your urine is most concentrated with hCG.

But ultimately, find a doc who respects your wishes, and go see him or her soon. It's best to make sure and get the care you need. Good luck!
Reply:if there is question go see a doc

if you take two or three tests what ever they say is probably right...but if you dont have your period go see

and by the way those expensive tests arent any different

i always but the cheap really cheap dollar ones from the dollar store

i get three and take them all

and remember home test can only be wrong to the negative

if it says positive, you are

but if you get three like i do...its hard to think theyre all going to be wrong

good luck
Reply:a urine test is just as good as the blood test. Track your temperature every morning before getting out of the bed and if it continues to increase every day, you are probably pregnant - don't bother your DR unless you are for sure - you DON"T want to be that pain in the a** pregnant girl that thinks her baby is the only one in the world. And no, they don't kick in the first six weeks.
Reply:Definately find another doctor!

TTC is hard enough without dealing with a doctor like that!!

If you are late you have a reasonable belieft that your a pregnant. And, your doctor should not get upset with you at all.

What kind of test did you take and when? Some women these make all the difference. I was actually one that tested in the evening - most test in the morning though. But, I've always been sick in the evenings.
Reply:You may need to wait a while before taking another HPT. For both of my babies, the HPT didn't detect them until I was almost 4 weeks pregnant. That may be the case for you as well. But definately go see your doctor. If your OBGYN refuses to give you the test, go see another OBGYN who will comply with your request or go to a smaller clinic in your area and get a test done. They should never tell you that they will not do something like a pregnancy test if you are really worried about it.
Reply:The next time you choose a gyno doctor make sure it is a woman because men doctors always piss me off. Women are more experienced and pretty much know how the woman body works. Men only know from research and hear say. He can't experience womanly pains and symptoms.
Reply:Find a GYN that you trust. Preferably a woman that way she'll know what your talking about. Get a blood test done or an ultrasound.Good Luck!!
