Reply:can live be lived through another's eyes.. good question.. I think definitely so.. Parents live lives through their children. I've got a ***** of an aunt (husband's sister) who drives me nuts. I think she wants to take over her brother and our kid. Like, she's 'got religion' and drives ya nuts tellin' ya she's "gonna pray for ya" (in a condescending manner.) Screw that! hell, I'm 53 and I know what I'm doing around here.. (She has a face the twin to George Washington, a 'bun' hairdo, wears tennis shoes w/skirts.. her church doesn't allow 'makeup' or pants for females. Sucky kinda church, huh?) Hell, she's got her head so far up my.. well, never mind.. (Perfect ex. of 'living another's life.) This what ya mean.. you wrote 'another's eyes..' It's all the same.. Also, just thought this sounds like a form of 'admiration' OR perhaps 'denial..' If we put stuff on the back burner, we don't have to answer for any 'foul ups' in our life, eh?
