I'm going to the doctor to see whether i have ddh. If i do i might have to have an operation. Will i have to use crutches? Or will i have to wear a spica cast (im 13 so i dont think i will)

Whether or not you have surgery all depends on how severe the dislocation is. In some cases, conservative treatment and physical therapy can accomplish a great deal and make surgery unnecessary, although patients usually still have life-long problems of varying degrees (pain, arthritis).
If you do have surgery, more than likely you will be using a spica cast. As uncomfortable a prospect as this may seem, it is extremely important to immobilize the joint as it heals. The reason a spica cast is needed is because your hips move when nearly any other part of your body moves. Basically, you can move your neck, head and arms without using your hips. Any other movement affects your hips.
