When is the right time to start excerising after having a baby?

I am due in anther month. I would like to know when i should start excersing to get rid of the baby weight. I am reading some of the questions and everyone is giving different answers. Is there anything that would help get rid of the weight.

When is the right time to start excerising after having a baby?
1) Breastfeed--it will do wonders for losing weight.

2) Ask your doctor. I had a c-section and couldn't exercise for a month. Of course, that was fine with me because I was still pretty tender for about 2 months.

3) Don't be so consumed with losing the weight that you forget about your new baby. You have gained weight, but that's part of the process. Leave yourself 6 months to get down to a normal weight. You won't be stressed with losing weight. Since I'm assuming this is your first baby, you have NO idea how hectic the first few months can be. EVERYONE is trying to get used to this new baby who needs feeding EVERY 3 HOURS! Learn to love your body, no matter what size you are.
Reply:not before you feel comfortable but you must wait at least 6 weeks thats what the doctors say

breast feeding burns 500 calories a day so that might help if you haven't decided what y ou are doing yet also a couple of my friends did winsor pilaties everyday and they lost the weight like nothing
Reply:Well for the first month after birth (you will have a month follow up to make sure everything is ok and the doctor will clear you for activities, sex, etc.) So until then I would take it easy. You are not suppose to lift anything heavier then your baby for a month after having him/her. You cant even vaccuum. Your insides could come out, NO JOKE! (seen it and its gross-I work in helathcare) After that month and doc says your ok have at it. I liked putting the baby on my legs and lifting etc. you can do that after birth.
Reply:wait for atleast one month before u start exercising.

But u can do keggel exercises.
Reply:About 1 month after I had my daughter I stopped bleeding and I started working out. Doctors usually say 6 weeks but it seems more like when you feel ready. When I did start working out it was twice a day 7 days a week and I was on the atkins diet. I lost 40 lbs in a month and felt so much better. Since then I dont work out as much and I eat alittle more regular but not totally the same. It is all about your body and how you feel after the baby. Everyone is different and only you know what works best for you. It can also depend on if you have any complications with the baby or a C-section. Some C-section cause your stomach muscles to be weaker and harder to regain your prebaby body (you never really get your prebaby body back) Good Luck
Reply:Eat healthy, go for walks daily ( you Can do this anytime after the deliver once your up to it). Find out if your hospital or a local fitness center is offering exercise classes for woman who are post-p (had their babys). They will ushually have a set period of time they feel is apropriate and have you consult with a doctor before starting. Then you will be shown good effective routines that are safe in your bodys state.
