I'm a gay teenager, is it even possible to find anther one?

I'm 15, and in my school there are absolutely no gay people, and I have no idea how to find out who really is without outing myself to the entire school. Also that wouldn't be an option because I'm on the football, basketball and track team and this would pretty much destroy my reputation.

Reply:I think you'll be surprised how many there are who are in the closet but later come out. After graduating, I've discovered many of my friends are gay -- we seem to have all found each other as friends.

Reply:there should be a gay center in your neighborhood, if not take the step, start a gay straight alliance in your school, I mean if you wanna live for people and have internal crisis that's on you, i'm 16 and I know tons and tons of gay ppl because I expanded myself out of school
Reply:Jack you sound really familiar?But my best advice would be to wait and that person will come to you. At first I was doing the same thing you were doing posting questions asking how to find other gay people.Then I kept getting responses that said just to wait and the person will come to you. So I finally decided to take that aadvice and sure enough that person came stepping into my life and I couldnt be happier it took us a while to hit it off but if you think you know who that one person is go talk to them thats what I did you dont have to talk about anything gay just talk about regular stuff and ifheis in fact the right person you will know soon enough! Reply:You would be surprised. When I came out way more people both gays and straights started hanging out with me.

Reply:wow your school seems strange. When I was in HS there were a ton. Most of them were still in the closet tho... Go to the drama club. LoL. I'm serious tho. Alot of those guys are gays. Like I said tho, they are mostly all still in the closet about it.
Reply:You may think there are no gay people, but you don't honestly know everyone, do you?
Reply:There probably are other gay guys there and they are going through what you are too. You will eventually probably be able to tell. Hope one day you will be out and be able to be yourself. There are plenty of support groups out there I am sure. Check the net.
Reply:Unfortunately in today's society, homosexuality is somewhat frowned upon, which is ironic due to all the anti-prejudice and anti-racism movement in recent years.





It would be incredibly difficult to find another gay teenager without outing yourself, because other homosexual individuals are going to feel the same way as you, and won't out themselves. Keep your eyes peeled and wait for an opportunity.
