No no no, because the disk contains another password (if it is different from the one you want to use it for) and it has different settings.
Can you use a reset password disk from anther computer to reset password in vista?
I would say no because whats the point in putting a password on your computer/laptop if someone can create a pasword reset disc on their computer then put it in yours and reset your password. The data comtained on the disc will be different for each computer

Reply:As reset password is a botable CD so it will run on the same OS. I have not tried it on Vista but I believe it will not work.
