My gecko has been in her tank by her self for six years. And I wanted to get her a buddy.
If my gecko has been alone for six years,is it possible to put in anther gecko with her without her killing it
lol! I don't know what's happened to your grip in the past few years, but your ability to put a gecko in a cage without killing it has nothing to do with any other geckos in the cage!
Oh, wait, you said "her" killing it.
Dunno. Find out.
Reply:It's not a good idea. Reptiles are not like cats or dogs. Most are solitary in the wild, and do not need or want companions. Some will tolerate each other, but not all.
If you want a second gecko, it's best to get a second setup as well.
Reply:It will be dangers. They will what to fight. What you should do is get a gecko the same age or the same size. Put a cage splitter in the cage and put one on each side and slowly put them to gether. After they get to know each other.
Reply:No, they'll both fight to the death, the male with stress out the female to much trying to mate and she'll die, one will eat the other, or they will fight for the best hide, basking place, food dish, crickets ect. One will probably freak the other one out so much it'll be to scared to eat. This is really not a good idea unless your a breeder.
Now what you could do is get a make-up thing, and use the mirror on your gecko. Just not alot.
