Explain the results when you placed ur 2 hands in meterstick at 10cm & anther at 70cm and bring them together

They meet at the 50cm mark, or the COM (center of mass) for the meter stick. That is if you don't hold onto it with one hand and just move the other.





There are no external forces acting on the system, so the COM cannot move....it's the same thing as the problem with you trying to pull an animal towards you when you're on ice. You always end up meeting at the COM of the system because of no friction.
